Parent email address — for account login and communication
Parent display name — shown within the app
Child display name — used to personalise the learning experience
Age band — a broad range (e.g. 3–5, 5–7), never a date of birth
Learning progress — scores, completed activities, and milestones
Device information — collected only for bug reports and technical support

3. What We Don't Collect

We never collect: date of birth, photographs, precise location, contacts, browsing history, or voice recordings. If our app uses the Web Speech API, all processing happens locally on your device — no audio data is sent to our servers.

Personalise learning content to each child's age band and progress
Provide parents with progress reports and insights
Improve the app's educational content and usability

5. Children's Privacy

Nestling Quest™ is designed from the ground up for children aged 3–7, in compliance with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (AADC), GDPR, and COPPA.

No profiling of children
No selling or sharing of data with third parties
Age-appropriate design throughout the entire experience

6. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted within the EU/UK region. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols.

7. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Under GDPR (Articles 15–20), you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
